COMPANY TIMELINE
See how our family business, now in it's 2nd generation, has grown from humble beginnings to a national status.
1980
In 1980, after completing his electrical apprenticeship at Rists Wires & Cables, Alan Bennett decided to embark on a new venture, forming his own Burglar Alarm business from his garden shed, ADB Alarms Locks & Safes, with only a tool box, a £50 mini van, and determination.
1990
By 1990, Alan had expanded the company from Stoke-on-Trent into the West Midlands, and diversified into Police Monitored systems, looking after Post Offices and local Building Societies. He also became a registered member of SSAIB (Security Systems & Alarm Inspection Board).
2000
In 2006, now with a growing customer base and loyal engineering team (including his Daughter Samantha), the company became Limited and ADB Alarms Ltd was born. During this time, ADB diversified into Fire alarms, Access & CCTV, and through the growth of clients had extended services to North England & North Wales.
2010
By 2010, ADB had obtained their own business premises and largely expanded their team (including Alan's second Daughter, Sarah) to accommodate their now varied and national
customer base. The security industry has now changed into diverse technologies, and ADB becomes one of the 1st security companies to install and maintain wireless systems with remote control (App).
2020 -
Present Day
In 2017, after 40 years of service, Alan took his well deserved semi-retirement. Samantha and Sarah became Directors, and the 2nd generation propelled the Company forwards and formed the Group that is today, ADB Alarms Group Ltd.
With this, they also founded the ADB training school, and 24/7 technical helpline. Through building strong relationships with many affiliates, the Company now provides full Security Facilities Management to clients, as well as a specialist team for prestigious clientele and listed buildings, and local specialist teams for all domestic customers. The Group is currently undertaking further accreditation's with BAFE, Construction Line, Chambers of Commerce and Safe Contractor.
With every step, the company's core values Alan started out with still remain in place today - all customers are part of the family, no matter how big or small.
